We need a dang update, Heffa?!

Aye!

I know it’s been a minute……..again.

A lot has happened both good and bad. A lot of changes have happened, where I can be present more. Allow me to explain.

I took time away due to projects, but to REALLY think, where are we going?

I mean really, let’s talk. I’m in my 40s and on this journey of acting and now writing professionally. It takes up a lot of time, but this space has always been my fun space. My woosah space. My space to share with other parents/guardians what works for us to give ideas to make life easier for everyone.

Two things I didn’t take in to account when I started this space 11 years ago.

a) when my career took over, how would I adjust posting? Ideas? shifting?

b) when the crew got older and became adults, how would I write about them in this space?

I kinda just went into this to create a safe space. No plan of any sort. That my friends was the underlining problem. It easier to blog about mom subjects when the kids are just kids. When the kids are 26, 25, and 19, its way different. You parent different, hell you even cook different.

I think we mentioned this before but we are just in 4 different directions. Nothing bad about it, I just think the blog should pivot to that reality as well. I took time to figure out posting too. That when I started this space, I had time and content to write 10 times a month at least. Now? yeah, that’s just not the case, and I say this because I had to be ok with this. Not because I needed to tell you guys that. Let me repeat this, I HAD TO BE OK WITH THIS. It’s not a failure, it’s the embracing the change.

That’s where we are. I mean in the process, I wrote and directed my first play! I’ve transferred to a different community college, and I’ll be working on finishing my BA in……..drum roll please…….SCREENWRITING!
